Russia - The Indonesian fashion scene is thriving at the end of 2020. This time, 10 fashion designers and 4 accessory brands have successfully presented modest wear collections at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia Virtual Fashion Show. The event was held on Friday (23/10).
The designers assisted by the Indonesian Sharia Creative Industry (IKRA Indonesia) presented the Spring/Summer 2021 collection. Uniquely this time they carried the concept of sustainable fashion, namely the use of raw materials and local human resources to drive the local economy as well as environmental and social concerns.
"Indonesia is targeted as the center of the global halal industry, through Indonesian Muslim fashion products which are potential commodities for the international market," said Ali Charisma, Chairman of the Indonesia Fashion Chamber (IFC) in a statement.

VIVIZUBEDI
Vivi presents an exclusive collection themed Archipelago series “HUMBANUA” which combines fabrics from two regions.
Sasirangan is typical of Borneo with motifs full of philosophical meaning and Sumba weaving which describes the strength and friendliness of the Sumbanese people. The pieces of clothing are made to follow today's mix-and-match trends.
Wignyo Rahadi
Wignyo presented a collection with the theme “Monochrome” using Houndstooth motif woven Non-Machine Weaving Equipment (ATBM) material.
This wastra was made by women weaving craftsmen in Sukabumi, West Java. This woven motif is identical to the monochrome color that creates a modern and dynamic impression according to the tastes of the global market.
Agung Bali Collection
Agung Bali presented a collection themed "Weaving Heritage" by pouring traditional Balinese cloths, namely "Endek Seseh" and "Endek Ikat".
Both highlight heritage motifs and natural colors from natural dyes that are suitable for the European market.
Adhy Alie
Adhy presents a collection with the theme of Captivated Ikat which unites various types of ikat which are rich in attractive colors and motifs with patchwork techniques. The form is a modern design in the form of a medium and long coat.
Tiffa Qaisty
Thiffa presents a collection themed “DARA” inspired by the Malay kebaya, Riau, which has been modified with a modern touch.
This dress uses Siak weaving and Riau batik made from viscose which is enhanced with beads and Swarovski details and hand embroidery.
The designer combines weaving and viscose to combine the potential of the area in Riau.
Viscose is one of the environmentally friendly fibers and Riau is the largest viscose producer in the world.
By taking the 2020/2021 forecasting trend, namely SPIRITUALITY and the mix and match concept, a look that has an urban and futuristic character is produced.
